Azerbaijan has once again proven its emerging talent in the field of informatics by achieving outstanding results at the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) 2024, held from August 16 to 22 in Chișinău, Moldova. Competing against Europe’s brightest young minds, the Azerbaijani team secured one silver and two bronze medals, marking a significant achievement for the nation.

Medalists Who Made Us Proud

- Silver Medal: Hasan Valiyev, a 9th-grade student from Baku’s 157th secondary school, delivered an exceptional performance, securing the silver medal. His ability to solve complex algorithmic problems with precision and creativity set him apart as one of the top contenders in the competition.

- Bronze Medals: Ahmad Gambarli, a 9th-grade student from Baku Turkish Anatolian High School, and Muhammedali Ahmetzade, a 9th-grade student from Sumgayit’s 23rd secondary school, each earned a bronze medal. Their consistent and determined efforts throughout the competition earned them well-deserved recognition.

The Leadership Behind the Success

The success of the Azerbaijani team at EJOI 2024 was guided by Kanan Asgarli, who once again took the role of Team Leader, bringing his extensive experience and past leadership success to the table.
